My Dad
February 20, 2008If you’ve ever read the About Me section of my website, you know that my dad is my inspiration. Yesterday was 4 months since he passed. It’s still lonely at times. I do know that he is with me… all the time, on all my shoots and I can feel how proud he is that I am doing something that I love.
I take tons of pictures – I always have! I have a thousand pictures of Kayla with each of the grandmothers, but so few with my dad. It’s because he never wanted to be selfish – he didn’t want to intrude, he lived 2 miles from me so he stopped by all the time, at least once a week. It’s ironic he was afraid that Kayla would forget him if she didn’t see him all the time. He never stopped by just to hold her, he simply wanted to see her. She made him very happy. If anything, I wish I had more pictures of them. I don’t need more memories, I have so many of those.
So it got me thinking, I have never done a grandparent shoot. So if any grandparents are reading this and would like a free mini session, be the first to e-mail me! Usually a shoot is focused primarily on the child – usually at least 3/4 of the pictures of the child alone. So a mini shoot would simply focus on the 2 or 3 of you and not the child alone. (Travel restrictions still apply – see my website).
And lastly – my dad and daugther
